VH1 Save The Music Foundation, Charter Communications and Houlihan's Partner To Present $600,000 Worth of New Musical Instruments to St. Louis Public Schools
What: The VH1 Save The Music Foundation with the help of Charter Communications and Houlihan's Restaurants Inc., will present $600,000 worth of new musical instruments to restore instrumental music education programs at 20 St. Louis Public Schools for the 2008/2009 school year. The donation is part of The Foundation's efforts to restore 3 million dollars worth of instrumental music programs nationwide this year. This year's donation is part of an ongoing effort by VH1 Save The Music and Charter Communications to guarantee that all students in the St. Louis Public Schools receive music education as part of their core curriculum. Since 1999 Charter Communications and VH1 Save The Music have provided $1.25 million worth of new musical instruments to restore music programs in 46 area schools.
