The Fox Theatre to Celebrate 80 Years of Magic and Memories!
WHO: The Fox Theatre is celebrating its 80th Anniversary this Sunday, September 21, 2008. WHAT: Olympia Entertainment will host a cake-cutting ceremony with refreshments and brief remarks about this historic milestone from Olympia Entertainment President Dana Warg. WHEN: TOMORROW! Friday, September 19, 11:00 a.m. WHERE: The Fox Theatre Grand Lobby 2211 Woodward Ave., Detroit, MI 48201 WHY: The Fox Theatre first opened its doors on September 21, 1928 and it continues to be one of the most successful theaters in the world. Owned by local entrepreneurs and Little Caesars Pizza founders Michael and Marian Ilitch, and operated by Olympia Entertainment, Detroit's crown jewel has provided generations of Detroiters countless memories. Media is invited to cover this event and join in celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the fabulous Fox Theatre. Complimentary parking is available in the Fox Parking Garage on Montcalm Street, next to Hockeytown Cafe.
