LOS ANGELES, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Radio entertainer Rick Dees is producing a streaming internet viral video Halloween channel -- "HallowScream Ball Channel" for warehouse grocer Smart & Final, which will begin airing on Wednesday, October 1. Users can access the channel through the RICK.COM portal, which also offers streaming of The Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 and several custom produced internet music channels. The proprietary Dees Digital Network (DDN) media player, specifically customized for "Smart & Final's Halloween Channel" will give an unprecedented user experience. Online users have the opportunity to score $250 gift certificates to Smart & Final on RICK.COM by submitting photo entries for the hottest Halloween costume of the year.

DDN technology allows Dees to color outside of the lines of traditional broadcast promotion with the "HallowScream Ball Channel," which is expected to multiply its audience through viral marketing and word of mouth. Users will be able to share the Halloween Channel via their websites as well as favorite Facebook and MySpace pages.
Visitors to the "Smart & Final HallowScream Ball Channel" who submit their costume photos will have the opportunity to see their photos remixed into custom Animoto-powered music videos.
