KyLinTV Brings Largest Selection of TV Broadcasts to Chinese in North America
PLAINVIEW, N.Y., Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- China International Communications Co., Ltd (CICC) and KyLinTV announced today an agreement to add three more channels to the Great Wall TV Package on KyLinTV's IPTV platform.
The three channels are: Chongqing TV International Channel, Shenzhen Satellite TV and Anhui Satellite TV. Both Chongqing TV International and Shenzhen Satellite TV are currently available to subscribers and Anhui Satellite TV will be accessible in September.
Chongqing TV offers diverse programming and highlights ethnic Chinese culture. Chongqing TV's international channel features news, variety shows, tourism, documentaries and TV dramas.
Founded in 2004, Shenzhen Satellite TV has grown to be one of the most influential channels in China. Popular shows like Live from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, Family Show and China Stock Market Updates have gained widespread viewers from both China and abroad.
Anhui Satellite TV made its mark in China by focusing on TV dramas. For the international channel debuting on KyLinTV, it incorporates local culture and historical elements like Huangmei Opera in an effort to attract viewers from the Anhui province in eastern China.
KyLinTV delivers channels from China directly to the television and the service is available to any household with a broadband Internet connection. KyLinTV's IPTV service gives greater reach, more access and content choices to viewers.
"Adding three more channels to KyLinTV's IPTV platform further diversifies the content offering of the Great Wall TV Package. We will launch more channels in the near future to better service overseas Chinese," said Wei Ping, general manager of CICC and vice president of CITVC.
"The Great Wall TV Package is a vital way for the Chinese community to keep updated about China's latest developments. It has been well-received by overseas Chinese since its debut in February 2008. We are glad to see three more channels added to this package. KyLinTV now has 49 channels from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and the Untied States -- further strengthening its position as the greatest source of Chinese broadcast entertainment. KyLinTV continues its efforts to bring more channels from China to overseas Chinese," said, Jianbing Duan, president of KyLinTV.
