Colonial Properties Selects B2B-TV to Provide Satellite TV to Commercial Office Tenants

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- B2B-TV, a leading provider of television distribution systems to commercial office buildings, announced today that it has been selected by Colonial Properties Trust to bring satellite TV programming to its tenants. Colonial Properties manages 16.2 million square feet of office space in key Sunbelt states from Maryland to Texas. The agreement with B2B-TV initially includes properties in major markets like Atlanta and Houston.

"Bringing high-quality television service to Colonial Properties' tenants for the first time is a great opportunity," said Weston Munselle, CEO of B2B-TV. "Our sophisticated in-building system accommodates an unlimited number of televisions and uses minimal space and resources within the building. With one call to B2B-TV, Colonial's tenants will receive affordable, hassle-free installation and the freedom to select programming from DIRECTV."

"Colonial Properties is proud of its High Performance Workplace(C) platform which delivers innovative, efficient and sustainable workplaces for the 21st century. So offering our tenants premium TV programming was a natural fit," said Robert A. (Bo) Jackson, Executive Vice President of Colonial's Office Division. "We chose B2B-TV because they offer a simple, single-vendor solution that has minimal impact on the building and allows tenants to select the best programming options for their business."

Until now, commercial buildings had few options for providing quality television programming due to the costs and complexity of installation and service delivery. B2B-TV's sophisticated in-building system uses just six square feet of rooftop space and a single backbone in the building riser to connect an unlimited number of subscribers. Building tenants can select from over 250 digital and HDTV channels from DIRECTV, the nation's top satellite provider.
