New Campaign by Stage 3 Productions Generates Big Response for Slendertone

New Campaign by Stage 3 Productions Generates Big Response for Slendertone

Inventive Visual Effects Wow Viewers and Bring Breakthrough Technology to Life

PHILADELPHIA, July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Challenged with conveying the wow-factor of Slendertone's new spin-off, System Abs, Stage 3 Productions tops industry standards for production values and impact with their latest infomercial and spot campaign.

Slendertone, marketers of medical-quality muscle stimulation products, "already had a loyal customer base," says Stage 3 Executive Producer Anthony Uro. "Their 'Flex' infomercial had been airing for years. Our job was to get customers excited about something new. To reconnect -- and at a higher level."

Like most of its genre, the new System Abs campaign combines filmed footage and graphics. But that's where the similarities end. Uro's first priority was to create visuals as exciting and technically advanced as the medical science they were illustrating. Using motion-track green-screen footage, 3-D technology and specialized animation software, Stage 3's graphics team designed a signature gold and black theme for the campaign featuring dynamic live-action animated silhouettes. Innovative light and motion effects illustrate Slendertone's breakthrough EMS technology, dramatizing how System Abs contracts and tightens muscles.

For testimonials and product demonstrations, Uro wanted to achieve a cinematic, Hollywood look without the expense of shooting on film. Panasonic SDX900 DVCPro50 24p cameras, the same used by MTV for "The Hills," gave Uro the rich, film-like quality he was looking for.

The campaign also combines stylishly lit shots of System Abs in action, the startled reactions of first-time users, sexy spokes-experts on a futuristic yellow and white set, and testimonials from impressed customers and fitness professionals, including NFL legend Jerry Rice.

According to Slendertone managing director Andy Leyland, "Customer response to the System infomercial has been great. We're very impressed with Stage 3's production. It's head and shoulders above our previous efforts."
