Marketing Drive Adds Three New Clients to Its Energy & Environment Roster
The Consortium for Energy Efficiency, Ameresco & Litetronics all selected Marketing Drive to help build their 'Green' brands
BOSTON, July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Within two-month's time, Marketing Drive has taken on three (3) new clients as a result of its marketing and branding expertise in the realm of energy efficiency. Concerns about rising energy costs and global warming have reached an all-time high and companies that can truly make a difference are recognizing the need to build a solid brand positioning and increase awareness among their consumers.
In May, Marketing Drive was awarded a branding assignment for The Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE). The leading non-profit in the energy efficient space, CEE works with North American utilities, manufacturers and the government to promote the development, manufacture and purchase of energy-efficient products and services and to influence public policy.
Work commenced in late May and involves the three-phased development of a Branding Platform to support the client's Communication Plan. "Marketing Drive's insight into energy and the environment, knowledge of the industry, and excellent graphics design work are why they won the assignment," said Sarah Griffith, Strategic Communications Director for The Consortium for Energy Efficiency.
Looking to build their brand, Ameresco, a leading energy services company selected Marketing Drive to help them refine their brand and market to their key constituency: commercial and industrial clients including government sectors. The first phase of their assignment includes a website overhaul. The launch of the new site is scheduled to coincide with the airing of Planet Green in September, The Discovery Channel program on alternative energy and conservation which will feature Ameresco.
"As our selected agency, their successful track record working with the ENERGY STAR brand and other energy industry entities played a large role in awarding them the business," said David J. Anderson, Executive Vice President, Ameresco.
Litetronics, a Compact Fluorescent Light bulb manufacturer, has chosen Marketing Drive to assist them with national co-marketing and retail activation of their Earthmate brand. Litetronics aims to build broad awareness among American consumers and position the company for future growth.
"Marketing Drive has a solid understanding of the energy efficiency business, all the players, and most importantly the dynamics of how they all work together," said Jim Ouellette, VP Consumer Markets. "This is a huge asset for a company that has traditionally marketed to the commercial and industrial sectors and now intends to make an impact at the consumer level."
Leading the charge for Marketing Drive is Cindy Jolicoeur, Vice President and Head of Marketing Drive's Environment and Energy Practice. Cindy has been a frequent speaker on best practices in branding and motivating behavior change in the efficiency world. She is as committed to energy efficiency off-the-clock as she is while working on behalf of her clients -- "shocked to see how terribly schools are being pinched and dollars funneled away from educational needs toward facility costs," Cindy suggested energy efficiency improvements at her daughter's school and is currently leading them through an initiative to enact energy efficiency improvements.
Since 2000, Cindy and her team at Marketing Drive have been providing branding, business to consumer and business to business marketing solutions to a range of government, utility, nonprofit and industry clients including US EPA's ENERGY STAR and Climate Leaders programs, my energystar.com, GasNetworks, First Energy Ohio, the Consortium for Energy Efficiency, ACI (Affordable Comfort, Inc.), and Toshiba.
By bringing the successful principles of private sector marketing to public sector businesses, Marketing Drive has helped clients refine their branding practices, better engage partners and activate at retail, drive a greater level of consumer engagement with their brands and ultimately, achieve program results. Over the agency's tenure with ENERGY STAR, this has contributed to brand awareness growth from 42% to 74%, making Marketing Drive a leader in promoting energy efficiency practices to consumers and businesses.
