Angel Fire Resort Announces the Fifth Season of 'Movies Under the Stars'

The perfect summer family event is back again with another great season of FREE outdoor movies

ANGEL FIRE, N.M., July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Grab your chairs and blankets and join us at the Angel Fire Resort Golf Course for four weeks of Friday night movies under the stars starting July 11th. A northern New Mexico favorite, Movies Under the Stars returns to Angel Fire for its fifth season. The movie will be held on the golf course's Hole 1 fairway and shown on a 50' screen with theater quality sound. The 2008 movie line-up includes Casino Royale, Surf's Up, Superman Returns and Transformers. The event is being offered to the public free of charge -- complete with free popcorn -- and in partnership with Pitre Hyundai of Santa Fe, The Village of Angel Fire, Michelob Ultra, Zanios Foods, Southwest Airlines, Coca-Cola, KKTC - FM 99.1 and Angel Fire Mountain Theater.

As the evenings tend to get chilly, moviegoers are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, jackets, picnic baskets, and other materials to make the movie more comfortable and enjoyable. Bringing alcoholic beverages on the premises is prohibited by New Mexico State Law. Backpacks and coolers will be subject to search. There will be a cash bar available to individuals 21 years of age and older with valid ID. Concessions, including sodas, snacks, and candy will also be available on site. For last minute weather cancellation, please call the Angel Fire Resort Hotel at 575-377-6401.

2008 Movies Under the Stars film details:

July 11th - Casino Royale (Rated PG13) In his first mission, James Bond must stop Le Chiffre, a Banker to the world's terrorist organizations, from winning a high-stakes poker tournament at Casino Royale in Montenegro.

July 18th - Surf's Up (Rated PG) In this animated mockumentary, film crews go behind the scenes at the Penguin World Surfing Championship to provide a close-up look at the inventors of surfing. Yes, penguins were the first species to hang 10 -- or at least that's what this Oscar-nominated film purports.

July 25th - Superman Returns (PG13) After a multiyear hiatus from Metropolis, Superman (played by Brandon Routh and Stephan Bender) returns to find a city that's managed to survive without him, an old flame (Kate Bosworth) who's moved on and an old enemy (Kevin Spacey) who wants him destroyed.

August 1st - Transformers (PG13) Based on the popular toys that transform from machines into giant robots, this live-action movie from Pearl Harbor director Michael Bay finds the planet Cybertron inhabitants engaging in a secret war for control of Earth's natural resources, which they desperately need for fuel. Able to disguise themselves as cars, airplanes, boats and more, the transformers prove a tough enemy in this film starring Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel and Jon Voight.
