PLAZAMEDIA Produces for International TV Stations During European Football Championship 2008

ISMANING, Germany, June 6/PRNewswire/ -- PLAZAMEDIA GmbH has been commissioned by a number of international TV broadcasters with the technical implementation of the unilateral services for football matches during the European Football Championship 2008. The leading full-service provider for TV and new media will use a team of 52 people. For Spanish pay-TV company Sogecable, for example, PLAZAMEDIA will implement five HD productions with a total of six unilateral cameras: the opening match between Switzerland and the Czech Republic on 7th June in Basel, Spain's three group-stage matches and the final in Vienna on 29th June. PLAZAMEDIA GmbH will also provide the Spanish company with the complete technical equipment for reporting from the IBC (International Broadcast Centre) in Vienna, including camera, video and audio technology.

For Portuguese pay-TV sender Sport TV Portugal, Germany's leading sports-TV producer will effect unilateral SD productions of three preliminary-round matches involving the Portuguese team in Geneva and Basel, providing three cameras as well as the director, the studio management and the entire technical personnel. The company is also responsible for the technical implementation of the matches from 10-18 June in Salzburg for Greek station ERTSpots. If Spain, Portugal and Greece all reach the quarter finals, PLAZAMEDIA will be called upon for additional services for all three channels.
