COMEDY CENTRAL's(R) 'The Daily Show With Jon Stewart' Taps Wyatt Cenac as the New Correspondent to Join the Best F*&#ing News Team Ever!
NEW YORK, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Wyatt Cenac has joined the Emmy(R) and Peabody(R) Award-winning "Daily Show" as a new correspondent, enlisting his skills and talent with "The Best F*&#ing News Team Ever!" for the historic 2008 presidential election campaign. His first field piece investigates senior voters in Florida and is scheduled to air tomorrow (June 25) at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT and will be available online at www.thedailyshow.com and www.indecision2008.com beginning on June 26. Cenac made his first appearance on the show on June 3, 2008 during which he lamented to Jon Stewart his boredom with the primary season, comparing it to the TV show "Lost," and appeared last night explaining why Barack Obama changed his position on public financing.
Wyatt Cenac hails from Dallas and has been performing stand up, improv and sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles since its inception in 2005. He has performed in shows at UCB such as "Comedy Death Ray," "Rap Crisis Center," "Quick & Dirty Musicals," "The Doo Doo Show," "See You Next Tuesday," "The Combo Platter" and part of the now defunct Harold team "Robot Doctors." In television, he spent three seasons as a writer and contributed voice-over work for FOX's "King of the Hill" and also co-starred with Kanye West in a pilot for HBO. Cenac's movie credits include the upcoming film "Medicine For Melancholy." He is repped by Paradigm and Generate Management. Jared Levine is his attorney.
Jon Stewart and David Javerbaum are the executive producers of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" with Rory Albanese, Kahane Corn and Josh Lieb serving as co-executive producers.
