PANGEA DAY, a global day of film, speakers, and music watched simultaneously

       around the world will take place this Saturday, May 10, 2008.    Media are invited to attend the North American live broadcast venue in                  Los Angeles at the Sony Pictures Studio.    Press Arrival & Check-in is at 9:00 am PDT. PANGEA DAY DETAILS AND BACKGROUND:   On May 10, 2008, at 18:00 GMT, millions of people all over the world will   come together to watch a 4-hour program of short films, coupled with talks   from CNN's Christiane Amanpour, Queen Noor of Jordan, child soldier   Ishmael Beah, and many more.  The program will hosted by Lisa Ling,   Current TV's Max and Jason, and June Arunga. Pangea Day will also include   live music, including performances by The Eurythmics' Dave Stewart,   Gilberto Gil, Rokia Traore, Mohamed Mounir and Iranian rock band   Hypernova. The program will feature 24 short films selected from an international   competition that generated more than 2,500 submissions from 105 countries.   Films were chosen based on their ability to inspire, transform and allow   us to see the world through another person's eyes.    The Pangea Day program will also include the five winning films from 2008   Nokia Mobile Filmmaking Awards.
