Saturday Night Live Reunion Tour at Spotlight 29 Casino Reunites Joe Piscopo, Victoria Jackson and Father Guido Sarducci

Comedy Night Is A Benefit For Gilda's Club Desert Cities

COACHELLA, Calif., April 4, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Live from Spotlight 29 Casino, it's Saturday night!

"Saturday Night Live" fans celebrate, because reuniting for a hilarious night of comedy are three of the show's most beloved, and funniest, performers. Joe Piscopo, Victoria Jackson and Father Guido Sarducci are coming together for one night of fun and laughter at Spotlight 29 Casino in the "Saturday Night Live Reunion Tour."

The concert takes place Thursday, May 1, and the evening is a benefit for Gilda's Club Desert Cities, a free support community for men, women and children touched by cancer in the Coachella Valley.

Piscopo was one of the members of the "new" cast that replaced the original "Saturday Night Live" cast, a difficult job that he loved. His characterizations of The Sports Guy, Doug Whiner, David Letterman and Frank Sinatra are legendary. In addition to his role in his own production company, Piscopo has also performed in Broadway's "Grease" and TV's "Law and Order" and "Arli$$."

Before "Saturday Night Live," Jackson performed as a stand-up comic, ultimately making more than 20 appearances on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson." Her six seasons on "Saturday Night Live" were highlighted by her affinity for the ukulele, which she continues to play; she even has three CDs. Jackson has also been seen widely on TV and in films.

Father Guido Sarducci (aka Don Novello), is an accomplished performer and best-selling author, and his sharp wit has keep audiences laughing for three decades. "Officially," Father Sarducci has spent the past 30 years living and working in the United States as gossip columnist and rock critic for the Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano.

Gilda's Club was founded in memory of legendary "Saturday Night Live" performer Gilda Radner by her husband, Gene Wilder, her psychotherapist, Joanna Bull, and her friends. Today there are 30 Gilda's Clubs across the United States.

Gilda's Club Desert Cities Executive Director Paula Kennedy said, "Gilda's Club brings people together who are experiencing similar situations. Whether you're looking for an understanding ear, a chance to laugh, or an informational resource, Gilda's Club is the place to learn how to live with cancer, whatever the outcome. We are very grateful to Spotlight 29 Casino for hosting this fun event."
