New York's Hotel Pennsylvania Prepares for NCAA March Madness by Teaming Up with ESPN 1410/1300 Radio and Fox Sports Radio 970

NEW YORK, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- As the 2008 Big East NCAA Tournament rolls into New York City, New York's Hotel Pennsylvania, The World's Most Popular Hotel(R), is welcoming all March Madness travelers by teaming up with popular sports radio stations to broadcast live from the Lobby.

ESPN Radio 1410 and 1300 thanks New York's Hotel Pennsylvania for partnering with them to bring their listeners top quality coverage of the 2008 Big East Tournament and for providing top quality service and accommodations for their broadcast team and clients.

ESPN added: "We anticipate this venture as the beginning of a mutually beneficial partnership in bringing Connecticut sports fans truly unique content and sports experiences."

Fox Sports Radio 970, the home of PITT Panthers basketball on the radio, is excited to once again be broadcasting live from the Hotel Pennsylvania, the home for Panthers fans while in New York for the Big East tournament. Fox Sports Radio 970 will broadcast daily from the Hotel Lobby from Monday, March 10 through Friday, March 14 from 3 pm to 7 pm EST.

Last year, their ON-AIR broadcasts from the grand lobby of the Hotel Pennsylvania served as a staging area for PITT fans to gather and get prepped for the evening hoops action, and PITT fans that stayed at the Hotel Pennsylvania couldn't thank them enough for the opportunity to stay so close to Madison Square Garden and the center of the Big East tournament.

"As the City gears up for March Madness, we again look to welcoming all Big East visitors to experience everything Hotel Pennsylvania has to offer," said Steve Leonard, the Hotel's director of sales and marketing. "Given our location right across from Madison Square Garden, fans can step out of the Hotel and into their seats in no time."

Since 1919, New York's Hotel Pennsylvania has been host to millions of visitors in Manhattan, more than any other hotel in the world. Extensively renovated, the property has 1,700 rooms and over 90,000 square feet of meeting and adjacent exhibit space. New York's Hotel Pennsylvania is capable of handling conventions, tours, and individual traveler requirements. Its location on 7th Avenue at 33rd Street is convenient to the business and fashion districts, as well as the Jacob Javits Convention Center. The property is known for having the longest-running telephone number in New York City, immortalized in Glenn Miller's famous song, "Pennsylvania 6-5000." Reservations can be made to this number locally 212-736-5000, toll free 800- 223-8585, via PDA at mobile.hotelpenn.com or on-line at www.hotelpenn.com.
