NEW YORK, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Four months into its launch, NetStudio.TV, a social networking site focusing on collaboratively developed content, has begun developing scripts and videos with socially responsible themes.

The initiative comes as the New York startup continues to expand its pool of projects and "showrunners," while awarding members with cash prizes for their participation.

Slated for development on the www.netstudio.tv network is a script highlighting eating disorders. The end result will be a public service announcement produced in partnership with a dedicated organization, in this case the Linden Oaks Hospital at Edward in Naperville, IL. "This PSA sheds light on the dangers of eating disorders and offer guidance and inspiration to those impacted," commented NetStudio.TV President Chris Marcantel. Script development, stewarded by showrunner Stephanie Schweitzer, coincides with Eating Disorder Awareness Week, February 24th-March 1st.

Another socially-minded script is a about animal rights. "This is an opportunity for us to create a PSA letting everyone know how horrific dog fighting and abuse are -- not only to the animals, but to society at large -- and how to help stop it," said NetStudio.TV CEO Bernadine Santistevan. "This project has strong potential to raise awareness and spur action." Showrunner Nancy Marcantel will produce this project, which is sponsored by Animal Rescue Foundation of Louisiana (ARF).

Rounding out the trio of socially responsible projects in development among the NetStudio.TV community is a music video featuring Brian Sizensky's latest single, Nice Tomorrow. The emerging singer/songwriter/guitarist has partnered with a charity, the Institute for Child Development, to donate 50 percent of net profits from the single. "We are extremely excited to be working on Brian's music video and with this charity," said Santistevan. "We all believe that Brian is going to have tremendous success as he moves forward in his career." The music video is being produced by NetStudio.TV's producing partner, SkyTown Entertainment, with one of its principals, Jane Petrov as showrunner.
