OneRepublic Kicks Off First Headlining Tour as 'Apologize' and Band's Debut Album Dreaming Out Loud Scorch the Charts

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Jan. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- OneRepublic, one of 2007's most surprising and promising new bands, who has sold nearly two million legal downloads of its first single, "Apologize," and whose MySpace page has logged more than 22 million song plays, is coming to a stage near you in the new year. "Apologize" is in its seventh week at #1 on the Top 40 chart and has rocketed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart (currently #3), where it has maintained a spot in the Top 5 for ten consecutive weeks. The band's debut album, Dreaming Out Loud, has sold 150,000 copies in just three weeks -- an auspicious tiding as the band prepares to launch its first-ever headlining tour on January 15th in Tempe, AZ. The tour runs until the beginning of February and will span the country.

OneRepublic has already made an historic impact at radio. The remixed "Apologize," heard on Timbaland Presents: Shock Value, shattered the record for the most number of Top 40 airplay spins in one week (10,600+). The song's original version is heard on Dreaming Out Loud, released November 20th on Timbaland's Mosley Music Group imprint via Interscope Records. OneRepublic's second single, "Stop and Stare," is already sprinting up the Top 40 chart and has been #1 most added at the format for the past two weeks.

Based in Los Angeles, five-member OneRepublic was born in Colorado Springs, CO in 2003. After breaking through on radio, on the Internet, and at retail, singer-songwriter-guitarist Ryan Tedder, guitarist-singer Zach Filkins, guitarist Drew Brown, bassist-cellist Brent Kutzle and drummer Eddie Fisher are now set to take over stages across the country.
