Dame Judi Dench and Hugh Laurie have had emphatic wins at the Digis.
Dench took Best Actress for her role as Miss Matty Jenkyns in BBC1's period drama "Cranford", while Laurie won Best Actor for his role as cranky Dr. Gregory House in Five's medical drama "House",
The Digis - the DigiGuide TV and Radio Awards - are voted for by users of DigiGuide, the up-and-coming interactive TV and radio guide.
There were 11 categories in the 2007 Awards. The BBC swept five of them. BBC2 and BBC Radio 2 were voted top TV and radio channels, BBC2's "Heroes" won Best New Drama, BBC1's "Doctor Who" took Best Sci-Fi and BBC2's "Earth: The Power of the Planet" won Best Factual.
"We are delighted that DigiGuide users have enjoyed such a broad range of the BBC's output," says a BBC spokesperson. "From music to drama, from documentaries to sci-fi, it's great to see that audiences are enjoying the quality and breadth of BBC TV and Radio."
Other winners included Five's "House" (Best Drama), Channel 4's "Ugly Betty" (Best Comedy), "Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares" (Best Cookery) and "Formula 1: The Brazil Grand Prix" (Best Sporting Event).
In addition, Channel 4 - which last year celebrated its 25th birthday - won a special award for Outstanding Achievement in Broadcasting. The award was given in recognition of C4's consistently challenging output - often off-beat, left-field, provocative and controversial - cleverly integrated with more populist programming.
"Channel 4 is delighted that its distinctive and original output during 25 years of broadcasting has been recognised by this Outstanding Achievement award," says a C4 spokesperson.
