World AIDS Day 2007: A Celebration of Life and Hope will be hosted by OutQ in the Morning's Larry Flick from Noon - 6 pm ET.

Flick will preside over the live six-hour event, interspersing exclusive musical performances with discussions with medical experts, pioneering activists, and SIRIUS listeners sharing their stories and perspectives on the ongoing battle against HIV/AIDS and the progress being made across the GLBT community.

This extraordinary event unites world-renowned musicians, leaders from the GLBT community, and listeners from the SIRIUS OutQ audience for a broadcast devoted entirely to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The broadcast will include an interview with Madonna and exclusive performances by Cyndi Lauper, Indigo Girls, Travis, Joss Stone, Erasure's Andy Bell, Jimmy Somerville, Marc Cohn, Leann Rimes, Littlehorse, and others.

World AIDS Day is annually observed on December 1st and is dedicated to raising awareness of the global AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection. Since World AIDS Day originated at the 1988 World Summit of Ministers of Health on Programs for AIDS Prevention, the cause has been taken up by governments, international organizations, and charities around the world.
