HDNet Movies Launches in North Texas

Time Warner Cable increases its high definition programming with launch of Full-time HD movie Channel

(IRVING, Texas) HDNet Movies is now available to Time Warner Cable customers in North Texas, the company announced today.

HDNet Movies delivers a commercial-free schedule of full-length feature films transferred from 35mm to high definition, in addition to movies produced and finished in true 1080i high-definition. Films are shown in their original aspect ratio so that HDNet Movies viewers get the best possible home theater experience.

HDNet Movies broadcasts 24/7 full-length feature films from Warner Bros, New Line, Paramount, Buena Vista, LionsGate/Artisan, MGM, Universal, Sony Pictures and other independents -- thousands of films have been licensed to date.

HDNet Movies is also the exclusive home of "Sneak Preview" movies -- bringing feature films to viewers before they premiere in theaters!

Time Warner Cable says its decision to launch HDNet Movies means more high definition viewing options for its customers. "We're providing more high definition choices for our customers in North Texas," said Gary Underwood, director of communications for Time Warner Cable's North Texas Division. "The addition of HDNet Movies increases our total HD choices to 122, which includes 20 HD channels and a total of 102 free or pay per view HD choices."

HDNet Movies can be viewed on channel 796 on Time Warner's HD Tier. The tier features channels such as HDNet and NBC Universal HD, for an additional $3.00 monthly.

HDNet Movies also features original high-definition movies produced by HDNet Films. Many HDNet Films have their world debut on HDNet Movies the same day they debut in theatres.
