TiVo Promotes Joshua Danovitz to Vice President, GM of International

ALVISO, Calif., Oct. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TiVo Inc. (NASDAQ:TIVO) , the creator of and a leader in television services for digital video recorders (DVRs), announced today that Joshua Danovitz has been promoted to Vice President, GM of International. Mr. Danovitz joined TiVo in 2004 as General Manager of TiVo International, developing TiVo's overseas strategy and creating cross-border partnerships.

Recently, TiVo has made progress on expanding its international efforts. The company announced in September that TiVo(R) DVRs and the TiVo(R) Service are available for the first time to CABLEVISION S.A.'s digital cable subscribers throughout Mexico City. In May, Seven Media Group and TiVo announced that TiVo would be available in Australia in 2008.

Prior to joining TiVo, Mr. Danovitz was Vice President at Global Alliance Partners (GAP) -- an international consulting firm that assists companies entering new markets between the U.S. and Asia -- where he served as a consultant for TiVo, and was a core member of the TiVo licensing project for nearly three years resulting in significant contracts, including: Toshiba, Pioneer and Toshiba Semiconductor. Before GAP, Mr. Danovitz held executive roles in both start-up and large enterprise companies, including a role as Vice President at LINC Computer Japan, where he played an integral role in the acquisition by Electronic Data Systems (EDS).

Mr. Danovitz holds degrees in both political science and Japanese, in which he is fluent, from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and studied at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan.
