Selecciones combed the nation to find young Hispanics who are making it their mission to inspire and impact their communities through the arts/entertainment, medicine, politics, sports, activism, technology and community efforts. The following individuals were selected among 500 entries nationwide: The Advocate: Arissa Garcia; The Mentor: Chantel Sanchez; The Performer: Alejandra Alberti; The Athlete: Brayan Martinez; The Innovator: Max Olguin; The Litigator: Catherine Campoverde; The Motivator: Pat Pedraja.

The pages of the magazine will come to life at a special awards luncheon and media event at Bongo's Cuban Cafe in Miami on Wednesday, October 3 honoring seven young Hispanics for their talents, accomplishments and unsurpassed contributions to their communities. Today's hottest Hispanic celebrities including Univision's Jorge Ramos, Ana Maria Canseco, Karla Martinez, Satcha Pretto, Carlos Calderon and NBC Telemundo's Maria Celeste Arraras, Carlos Ponce, Jessi Losada and Candela Ferro will be on-hand to present each of the honorees a 2007 Generation Latino award as well as deliver their own personal stories of obstacles, successes and professional achievements. SONY BMG recording artist Kany Garcia and Latin Grammy award nominee Alejandra Alberti will also perform.
