Cablevision Reaches Agreement to Offer NHL Center Ice Package to iO(R) TV Digital Cable Customers

Comprehensive Package Featuring Up To 40 Out-Of-Market NHL Hockey Games Per Week Now Available For Early Bird Price Of $149 For The Entire Season

Cablevision Has Also Agreed To Add NHL Network To Its iO TV Sports Pak

BETHPAGE, N.Y., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cablevision Systems Corp. (NYSE:CVC) today announced that it has reached agreement with the NHL and iN Demand to offer its iO TV digital cable customers the NHL Center Ice package, featuring up to 40 out-of-market NHL hockey games each week. The programming package is available starting today at the early bird price of $149 for the entire season, and can be ordered conveniently through the digital set-top box on iO Upgrades Channel 900 or by contacting Cablevision customer service. Cablevision will extend the discounted price through October 16, at which time the package will increase to $169.

"We are pleased to have reached these agreements, which will allow us to again offer our iO TV customers access to the NHL Center Ice package and these out-of-market hockey games," said Mac Budill, Cablevision's executive vice president of programming. "With three NHL teams in our market, hockey is important to many of our customers, and we are pleased to extend our leadership in the delivery of sports programming by offering the Center Ice package and also adding the new NHL Network to our iO Sports Pak."

NHL Network will become the 12th programming service available through the iO TV Sports Pak, which is available to iO digital cable customers for an additional $4.95 per month. The comprehensive tier of sports-related programming includes TVG, Fuel, Fox College Sports (Pacific, Atlantic and Central), Outdoor Channel, Versus, GOL TV, The Golf Channel, MavTV and NBA TV. Cablevision expects to add NHL Network to the iO Sports Pak by the end of the month.
