SHANGHAI, China, Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Emma Entertainment is pleased to announce superstar singer, songwriter and cultural icon Beyonce will perform in Shanghai as part of The Beyonce Experience 2007 World Tour. Performing for her first time ever in mainland China, the concert will take place on Monday, November 5, 2007 at 8pm in the prestigious Shanghai Grand Stage.

The Beyonce Experience tour kicked off April 10th in Tokyo at the 55,000 seat Tokyo Dome. The concerts in Japan were followed by a top-selling 41-city North American tour and a string of European dates. The most eagerly anticipated tour of the year, The Beyonce Experience showcases the international music and film star, along with her sizzling ten piece all-female band, and promises terrific singing, solid musicianship, spectacular staging and the most imaginative choreography ever to have graced the Shanghai Grand Stage.

As the core member of Destiny's Child, Beyonce released her first solo album Dangerously In Love in 2003, which won an astounding five Grammy Awards, confirming her status as one of pop/R&B's premier songwriters, producers and singers. Beyonce has sold more than 140 million albums as an artist, and has won a total of 10 Grammy Awards, 7 MTV Awards and 1 Brit Award.

Her latest critically acclaimed album, B'Day, debuted at #1 on four of Billboard's music charts in the United States and also hit #1 in the Asia-Pacific area, including Australia, Japan and Singapore. The album was executive produced by Beyonce Knowles and her father, Mathew Knowles for Music World Productions Inc. Released worldwide on her 25th birthday, B'Day is a celebration and a milestone. Soulfully deep, emotionally expansive, musically far reaching and filled with banging beats, muscular rhythms and lyrics that are grown, smart and just flat out sexy, B'Day is the sound of an artist raising the bar.

"Emma Entertainment is very proud to introduce the world's top R&B female artist, Beyonce, for her first performance ever in mainland China," said Jonathan Krane, President & CEO of Emma Entertainment. "Beyonce's Chinese fans are already very excited for the show in Shanghai and we expect tickets to sell out quickly. Emma has promoted all of the major international concerts this year in China including Eric Clapton, Christina Aguilera, and Avril Lavigne with great sales success and we anticipate a great demand for the Beyonce show in November."

In addition to the Beyonce's concert, Emma is also presenting Linkin Park at Hongkou Stadium November 18th. The company is also actively promoting events with top Chinese artists and will soon announce its 2008 line-up for local and regional artist tours.
