Partnership with Philadelphia Magazine Gives Customers Access to Region's Best with the Touch of a Remote

PHILADELPHIA, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast Cable and Philadelphia magazine today announced the launch of Best of Philly(R) On Demand, a first- of-its-kind collaboration that delivers the magazine's annual analysis of the best Philadelphia has to offer on Comcast's signature ON DEMAND service throughout the Philadelphia market. The service, available at no additional cost to Comcast Digital Cable customers, will feature 30 three- to five-minute vignettes profiling this year's Best of Philly(R) winners. The segments, which are introduced by Philadelphia editors Jessica Blatt and April White, discuss many of this year's selections and are available to viewers on their own schedule, any time of the day or night.

Now in its 34th year, the Best of Philly(R) includes nearly 200 winners across six categories including food and drink, style and shopping, kids, people and power, service and fun. The issue is now available at newsstands. The Best of Philly(R) On Demand was produced in conjunction with Comcast's Select On Demand video-on- demand (VOD) production and distribution service.

"Best of Philly(R) On Demand harnesses Philadelphia magazine's eye for all things essential and combines it with the powerful reach of our Get Local VOD platform to deliver an entertaining and informative look at the region's best businesses," said Noah Kodeck, director of Comcast's Local Video On Demand programming and production.
