SACRAMENTO, Calif., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- NetMusicMakers.com ("NMM") a leading internet radio and music community website announced today that web pioneer, Chuck Hansen, has joined NMM as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining NetMusicMakers, Hansen was CEO and co-founder of Hansen Information Technologies, a leading provider of web-based government solutions, recently sold to Infor Global Solutions.

Hansen has a long commitment to music. At 16, Hansen was named to the Monterey Jazz Festival High School All Star Band, where he played baritone sax behind Dizzy Gillespie, Mundell Lowe, and Louie Belson. During his college days -- first as an undergraduate at Berkeley and later earning his MBA at UCLA -- Hansen earned extra money playing gigs. Last year, Hansen took the stage with Huey Lewis and The News for a private corporate-sponsored appearance and is a Super Patron for the International Association of Jazz Educators.

Teamed with Tower of Power's Stephan 'Doc' Kupka, Hansen will be releasing Bumped Up To First Class. Available this summer, the CD will feature Huey Lewis, Cold Blood's Lydia Pense, SNL's Lenny Pickett, Santana's Chester Thompson, and Edgar Winter. Hansen is also working on a new project with legendary Hollywood conductor William 'Bill' Ross.

Today, Hansen is a member of the Strokeland Super Band and plays regularly with R&B/Funk band Hip Service. He is also a member of American Federation of Musicians, Local 12.

During his tenure with Hansen Information Technologies, Hansen designed and built the first citizen-centric data model that consolidated all information a government maintains about a citizen, attaching business applications to help streamline the delivery of government services. Often dubbed 'Big Brother' Hansen solutions store a variety of data, including building permits, parcel, utility billing, licenses, property tax, service calls, and digital maps -- assessable through a Web 2.0 environment.
