Top Presidential Candidates to Address Thousands of Progressives at 'Take Back America' Tuesday

Conference Organizers Announce Day 2 Media Events

WASHINGTON - The Campaign for America's Future today released details for the second day of the organization's "Take Back America" conference. Gov. Bill Richardson, D-N.M., Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., former Sen. John Edwards, D- N.C., and former Sen. Mike Gravel, D-Alaska, will make their case to thousands of progressive leaders and activists on Tuesday.

Conference participants will join allies on Capitol Hill in the afternoon to demand that the U.S. Senate pass the Employee Free Choice Act to improve the nation's labor laws to restore workers' freedom to form unions and bargain for better lives. The Senate is expected to vote on the Act this week. Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., will address activists gathered at the rally.

The Campaign for America's Future will also hold a gala dinner in the evening to honor progressive leaders Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., and Roger Wilkins. Actor Jason Alexander, also known as "George Costanza," will emcee the event and mystery blogger Digby will accept an award on behalf of the progressive bloggers.
