LSU Tigers Join XM Radio Sports Line-Up

XM Radio to Carry LSU Sports for Tiger Fans across the Country Starting Fall 2007

WASHINGTON and BATON ROUGE, La., June 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XM Satellite Radio today announced that it will carry Louisiana State University (LSU) sports starting this fall as part of XM's powerful line-up of Southeastern Conference (SEC) sports programming.

XM will be the official satellite radio network of LSU, beginning with the Tigers' football season opener against Mississippi State on August 30. XM plans to carry every LSU regular-season football game, the vast majority of LSU basketball games and other LSU athletic teams.

XM's eight million subscribers across the U.S. will be able to listen to LSU games on satellite radios for the car, home, and portable use.

"The LSU athletic program is consistently one of the very best in the nation, and LSU has loyal fans all across America," said Eric Logan, executive vice president, programming, XM Satellite Radio. "Tiger fans can hear LSU games on XM Radio, whether they live in Baton Rouge or a thousand miles away in Brooklyn."

"We are very excited about partnering with XM in bringing LSU and SEC sports to Tiger fans across the country," said LSU athletic director Skip Bertman. "This agreement gives LSU Athletics tremendous national exposure, and it gives LSU fans the opportunity to follow SEC sports like never before."

One of LSU's most passionate alumni is James Carville, the renowned political consultant and hardcore sports buff. Carville is the co-host of the XM sports talk radio show "60/20 Sports" with Luke Russert on XM Sports Nation (XM Channel 144).

"This is a marriage made in heaven," Carville said about LSU joining the XM line-up. "The best radio network in the history of the world, bringing you the best college football team in '07, the LSU Fighting Tigers. My network and my team. It doesn't get any better than that."

LSU is the latest member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) to join the stellar selection of college teams carried on XM. XM recently signed a five- year agreement with the SEC to be the official satellite radio network of the conference. XM and the SEC announced in March that XM would air live broadcasts of football, basketball and other sports played by SEC teams Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Tennessee starting in fall 2007. South Carolina will join XM in fall 2008, followed by Florida in fall 2009.

SEC games can be heard live and nationwide on XM Radio's three SEC channels (XM channels 199 - 201). XM has a special offer on XM radios for SEC fans at http://www.xmradio.com/sec

In addition to the SEC, XM is the official satellite radio network of the college sports conferences ACC, Big East, Big Ten, and Pac-10. XM is the sports leader in satellite radio with more than 5,000 live sporting events in 2007. XM airs every Major League Baseball game for every team. XM carries NBA games on ESPN Radio, the National Hockey League, the PGA TOUR, and the IndyCar Series, as well as Spanish play-by-play of baseball, soccer, and other sports. XM is also the leader in sports talk radio with the 24-hour channels XM Sports Nation, MLB Home Plate, Home Ice, ESPN Radio, ESPNews, FOX Sports Radio, and XM Deportivo.
