Discovery Times Channel Reveals Previously Unknown Audio of Robert Kennedy's Death in CONSPIRACY TEST: THE RFK ASSASSINATION

SILVER SPRING, Md., June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Senator Robert Kennedy's murder continues to puzzle many and spur debate even four decades later. In a Discovery Times Channel program, CONSPIRACY TEST: THE RFK ASSASSINATION, audio experts examine a never-before-broadcast audio recording, that provides new evidence supporting the second gunman theory. This startling new audio evidence, as well as a review of eyewitness testimonies and ballistic tests, is revealed when the program makes its debut on June 6 at 9PM (ET).
As history states, Sirhan Sirhan confessed to the murder following Senator Kennedy's assassination in the pantry of the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles on June 5, 1968. Sirhan's defense team entered an insanity plea, and therefore much of the crucial evidence collected in the Los Angeles Police Department investigation -- including controversial autopsy results -- was never challenged in court. None of the eyewitnesses ever placed Sirhan behind Senator Kennedy; however, the fatal wound was located at the back of his head, and LAPD records of Sirhan's gun indicate a different serial number than that of the murder weapon. Could there have been a second shooter?
Key to the theory of a second shooter is an audiotape recorded by a freelance journalist at the scene that went unnoticed in an archive for decades. It is the only known recording in the world on which the gunshots can clearly be heard. CONSPIRACY TEST: THE RFK ASSASSINATION presents two tests of the recording. The first by a team of forensic audio specialists who examine a researcher's findings that suggests that the number of shots heard may have exceeded the maximum eight rounds fired by Sirhan's gun. The second test, by a firearms expert who determines if some of the shots on the recording exceed the maximum firing rate of Sirhan's 22-caliber Cadet model Iver Johnson revolver and done in such rapid succession as to question the presence of a second gunman. The shocking results may shed new light on the events of Kennedy's assassination.
