Academy of Country Music Announces New Marketing & Creative Team
Seasoned Media Execs Sign On to Form New In-House ACM Team
ENCINO, Calif., June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Today the Academy of Country Music is announcing that Lisa Lee and Brooke Primero have joined the Academy's staff, forming a new in-house marketing, publicity and creative team. Lee has been named Senior Director of Creative Development and reports directly to Academy Executive Director, Bob Romeo. Primero, also reporting to Romeo, has assumed the role of Senior Director of Publicity & Marketing. Both positions are based out of the Academy's headquarters in Encino, California.
In addition to managing the day-to-day advertising, publicity, promotions and creative that surrounds the Academy's premier property, the Academy of Country Music Awards, the team will focus on greater, more consistent media and entertainment industry exposure for the Academy and country music on the whole. The team will also provide the Academy with strategic marketing materials and promotional tools.

Lisa Lee comes to the Academy from MTV Networks' CMT, where she wrote and produced numerous CMT News specials, including "Addicted to Addiction," which won the 2005 Prism Award. With more than a decade of experience in the country music industry, Lee helped create a footprint for CMT within Hollywood as the West Coast News Editor and L.A. Correspondent for CMT News.
A graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Lee started her TV career as a news reporter and anchor at an NBC station in Texarkana, Texas before landing a job in Nashville as a correspondent for TNN Country News and This Week in Country Music. She has worked with country's biggest stars and Hollywood's biggest names all across the United States, covering tour dates, parties, movie premieres and major award shows.
Brooke Primero joins the Academy from her position as Senior Director at BNC (Bragman Nyman Cafarelli), a leading entertainment PR and marketing firm, where she has led the BNC Special Events team for six years, and has worked with the Academy for more than four years. Her experience in event marketing and media solutions resulted in highly successful campaigns during her nine years at the agency for clients including T-Mobile, General Motors, Screen Actors Guild, The Miss America Pageant, GUESS?, Red Bull, 7th on Sixth and many more, and for magazine clients including Vanity Fair, People, Us Weekly, Sports Illustrated, etc.
In her previous position with Paramount Pictures, she handled talent relations and was a key contributor to developing media and promotional events -- ranging from film premieres, Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies and Oscar parties -- for film launches including Mission Impossible, Titanic, First Wives' Club, Face/Off, The Truman Show and many, many more. Primero began her career as a journalist, working for Petersen Publishing and Disney Magazine Publishing, among others.
