TV One Experiences Subscriber Growth, VOD Gains and Local Ad Sales Launches in 2007

- Network is now in nearly 38 million subscriber households; its VOD programming is now in 20 million households; and local ads sold in systems with more than 9 million households -

WASHINGTON, May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- TV One has added more than four million new subscriber households this year, growing from 33.8 million in December 2006 to more than 37.9 million in May 2007, according to Nielsen Media Research estimates. New launches this year include Bright House Networks in Indianapolis, Time Warner Cable of Northeastern Ohio (Akron), and Comcast systems in Minneapolis and West Palm Beach, plus a move from digital to expanded basic on the Comcast system in Shreveport, LA.

The three-year-old network for African American adults now also offers a selection of programming on the VOD platform of systems serving more than 20 million households, including Comcast, Time Warner, Cox and Insight cable systems. TV One will also launch a package of programming this month on Buckeye Cable of Ohio's VOD platform.

TV One also continues to add local ad sales launches, with 21 systems serving more than 9 million households now selling time on TV One. New local ad sales launches this year include Comcast systems in Miami, FL and Augusta, GA.
