New 'Starz Rewards' Program Boosts Sales, Training for Customer Service Reps, Operators

Latest Addition of Call Center Support Options Offered by Pay TV Provider for Its Affiliates

LAS VEGAS, NCTA National Show, May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Starz Entertainment Senior VP, Affiliates Sales and Support Debbie Egner announced the upcoming launch of Starz Rewards, a service and sales incentive program for cable, satellite, and telco customer service representatives (CSRs). Starz Rewards is the latest addition to the comprehensive call center support partnership available from the pay TV provider.

Designed in partnership with BI, "The Business Improvement Company" that will manage the incentive program, Starz Rewards provides merchandise and other prize options to CSRs who successfully sell and service their customers in line with each affiliate's particular goals. In addition, the Rewards site where launched will serve as the main portal link to Starz training and product knowledge tools.

"The new incentive solution is the latest element in our call center E-care support program," said Egner. "Over the past two years, we have worked with our affiliate partners to develop, test and implement innovative, E-based solutions in all areas of the call center business: product knowledge delivery, skill training and now incentive programs."

A library of E-learning modules are available for operators including affiliate-tailored interactive training sessions and tutorials on

   1) Navigating On Demand,   2) Selling digital and the bundle,   3) Selling the DVR, and   4) Selling HD,   5) and more.   

In addition, there are standard E-modules for sales, retention and product training. Starz Entertainment works with each of the Top 4 MSOs to ensure the programs are tailored specifically to meet each affiliate's specific needs.
