Media and Technology Exec Andrew Thau Takes Reins as Chief Operating Officer; J.D. Heilprin Named SVP Strategic Development; Ron Milkes Appointed General Counsel and VP Business Legal Affairs

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Network LIVE, the first multi-platform digital entertainment network committed to redefining live programming in the digital age, today announced the expansion of its executive management team. Leading cable and technology veteran and former Fox cable exec, Andrew Thau is appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer. J.D. Heilprin, a former senior consultant to HP and MTV and founder of RioPort, has been named Senior Vice President strategic development; and Ron Milkes, former General Counsel for The Firm, Inc. has been appointed to the post of General Counsel and Vice President Legal Affairs.

In his role as chief operating officer, Thau oversees all company operations and plays an integral role in developing Network LIVE's long term strategy across the company. Thau reports directly to Network LIVE founder and CEO Kevin Wall. Thau brings nearly 15 years of media and technology experience to the company. Thau oversaw five cable networks in the United States and internationally when he served as senior vice president operations and network development of Fox Cable Networks and Fox Sports International. Thau also served as president and CEO of Be Here Technologies, a leading software technology company focused on immersive broadband and video content. Thau also served as President and CEO of VOY Network, a cable television network targeting the U.S. Hispanic market and mainstream audiences.

As senior vice president strategic development, Heilprin is charged with spearheading all facets of strategic partnerships and corporate development for Network LIVE. Most recently, Heilprin served as a strategic advisor to Hewlett Packard and Hewlett Packard Europe, focused on their global digital entertainment strategy and partnerships. Previously, he served in a similar capacity for MTV Networks. Prior to MTV, Heilprin co-founded RioPort, a leading digital audio service provider, serving as executive vice president and general manager, in addition to establishing and running the company's Los Angeles operation. RioPort served both as MTV's original partner for the distribution of digital music and one of the first companies to pursue secure distribution of music to portable devices. Heilprin also served as vice president of media and entertainment at iXL, a leading global consulting firm. At iXL, he was charged with overall responsibility for iXL's music and music-related clients, including Universal Music and the Almo Sounds record labels; artists such as Alanis Morissette, Marilyn Manson and the Warped Tour music and sports touring festival; and retailers Hot Topic and Wherehouse Music. Heilprin reports jointly to Network LIVE CEO Kevin Wall and COO Thau.

Bringing more than nine years of legal experience to the company, Milkes serves as Network LIVE's General Counsel and Vice President Business Affairs overseeing all business and legal matters for the company. Most recently Milkes served as general counsel and member of the board of directors and management committee at The Firm, Inc., the entertainment industry's largest entertainment and brand management company. There, he was responsible for all legal matters relating to the company's talent management, music, film and television production and brand acquisition and brand management divisions. Prior to The Firm, Milkes was an attorney at Alschuler Grossman Stein & Kahan where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions.
