Las Vegas Television Network Welcomes Community Broadcasters Association to Annual Las Vegas Convention
LAS VEGAS, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Las Vegas Television Network (LVTN) and its affiliate Vegas 35 television KVTE welcomes the Community Broadcasters Association (CBA) to the CBA annual convention being held at the Stardust Hotel and Casino. LVTN is cosponsoring the three day event that brings broadcasting companies, vendors and industry experts together.
At this year's convention, the television station owners received their first glimpse of programming offered by LVTN. Station owners were able to discuss opportunities to become affiliates of LVTN, which plans to launch nationwide broadcasting the first quarter of 2006. Some of the programming is already available on local affiliate KVTE Channel 35. During a Tuesday luncheon, attendees enjoyed entertainment provided by LVTN television hosts impressionist Stephen Sorrentino of "Off The Strip" and comedian Rob Sherwood of "Comedy Show 'N Tell." Hosts from programs "It's Vegas Baby," the "OddsFather," "Strip Tease" and "Convention Connection" were also present to answer questions and meet station owners.
Nathan Drage, President of LVTN stated Monday morning, "The Community Broadcasters Association has been working hard to develop and protect the business interests of independently owned television stations for two decades. At their 2005 convention, CBA continues this great tradition by providing the latest information about FCC policies and plans which will undoubtedly affect television broadcasting and reception as we currently know it. LVTN is proud to be a cosponsor of the convention and give television station owners an opportunity to see how they can become a part of delivering Las Vegas programming to their viewers by acquiring LVTN programs or becoming an LVTN affiliate."
CBA is a non-profit organization who's individual and corporate members represent hundreds of television stations throughout the United States. The annual convention provides an opportunity for station owners and operators to get updates on industry developments such as digital television technology and the FCC's plans to move all television broadcasters from "analogue" to "digital" broadcasting.
