Horror Author Lia Scott Price Stars in Film Version of Novel

TORRANCE, Calif., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Lia Scott Price, horror novelist and creator of Serial Killer Guardian Angels(TM), is known for her novel "The Guardian," which features a creepier and deadlier image of guardian angels.

Through her production company Lia Scott Price Productions Inc., Price produced the film adaptation of her novel, also entitled "The Guardian," which has just completed filming.

In both the novel and the film version of "The Guardian," guardian angels are serial killers who target people who pray for an end to their life's problems or who are suicidal. "They put them out of their misery," says Price.

"You never really know who it is you are praying to," says Price. "If you invoke guardian angels, do you even know if they are good or evil? Will they help or hurt you?"

Price stars in the lead role opposite two up-and-coming actors.

"David Switch did an incredible job of bringing one of my more disturbing characters to life. It was a demanding role. His performance was mesmerizing," Price says of her co-stars.

Steven Dell played a character especially written for him by Price. "Steven is an intense, responsible, imaginative and extremely talented actor. He played his role perfectly. He added more depth and substance to the character."

Lia Scott Price's "The Guardian" also stars Nicole Whitlock-Liberty and is directed by Mark J. Doddy and co-produced by Harmonie Tomas Tangonan.

Though her idea of guardian angels may be considered disturbing, Price's fan base is steadily growing. Fans comment that, "The idea of guardian angels that have gone bad is awesome!" Price's characters, once invoked, are indeed a unique and deadly twist to horror fans looking for something fresh and new.

"So remember: Don't pray in vain," says Price.

"The Guardian" is Price's second film. Price has already completed one other film, "Dominion," which is pending distribution.
