The National Association for Multi-Ethnicity In Communications (NAMIC) National Board Announces Personal Contributions to Katrina Relief Fund

NEW YORK, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The devastating events caused by hurricane Katrina have left many of our colleagues in the cable and communications industry in great need. NAMIC (National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications) today announced that its National Board members would make personal contributions to the National Cable & Telecommunications Association's (NCTA) Cable Hope Fund. Funding from this organization will be directed at a variety of needs which may include housing, education, long-term rebuilding initiatives, and other essential services for hurricane victims and their families.

Manish Jha, NAMIC President, stated: "These unprecedented circumstances have greatly affected many friends and families of people in our industry and have specifically cast a spotlight on diversity. The NAMIC National Board has pooled its personal resources in order to make this contribution to the Cable Hope Fund and we encourage others to do the same."
