Jack Morton Contributes Pro Bono Support to 'Humanity Plaza' to Aid Hurricane Victims

Working with NBC News' 'TODAY' Show, Habitat for Humanity International and Warner Music Group, agency provides design services and volunteers

NEW YORK, Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Experiential marketing agency Jack Morton Worldwide today announced that it is joining forces with NBC News "Today," Habitat for Humanity International and Warner Music Group to provide pro bono services to support an unprecedented effort to help the Gulf Coast rebuild.

Starting today, Rockefeller Plaza will become "Humanity Plaza" for five days as homes are literally built around the clock for families displaced by Gulf Coast hurricanes. The partners have pledged to build a minimum of 100 homes over the course of the project, which will be executed over the next two months. As the exclusive broadcast partner, "Today" will follow the progress of the first phase of homes, and be there as Habitat for Humanity delivers them to families that they previously selected. The families will be profiled on "Today."

Jack Morton's environmental design group, known as Production Design Group (PDG), A Jack Morton Company, is contributing pro bono design services to transform Rockefeller Plaza into Humanity Plaza for this unprecedented effort. PDG has designed the site layout, signage and graphic elements that will transform the public plaza into a construction zone and destination for viewers and visitors to get involved and learn about ways to help the victims of the storms.

The project will be supported by thousands of citizens-including employees from Habitat, NBC Universal, Warner Music Group and Jack Morton, as well as visitors to the Plaza throughout the week. Celebrities and musicians from NBC Universal and Warner's rosters will join the efforts as volunteers and with special performances throughout the week, including a kickoff concert with Josh Grobin and Tracy Chapman today.

Laura Shuler, President of Jack Morton, US, said: "It's always an honor to work with partners like NBC, and we are especially gratified to be able to help "Today," Warner and Habitat for Humanity in this outstanding effort to aid those displaced by the recent hurricanes."
