Gala Party to Kick Off Westwood International Film Festival

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Westwood International Film Festival, Los Angeles's newest and most exciting event, is throwing a party to match on September 29th at the luxurious W Hotel, to kick off what promises to be an electrifying two week flurry of new films from around the world. Located at 935 Hilgard Avenue in historic Westwood, the W Hotel is a local institution and a hotel of pristine reputation. The event will take place poolside and under the stars with a fantastic view of all of Los Angeles. The festivities begin at 7pm and feature an exclusive performance by Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles and Matthew Sweet, as well as music from world famous DJ Audiomoe. A stunning array of food from some of Los Angeles's preeminent restaurants, such as Nine Thirty, Tengu, The Lincoln and The Backyard is included, as well as cocktails and drinks provided by Corzo Tequila, Row Eleven Wine, Stella Artois, and Perrier.

Sneak preview clips of selected films will be screened as we celebrate the rebirth of independent cinema in Westwood.
