Final Harris Interactive College Football Poll(SM) Panelist Named
Final Replacement Randomly Selected Has Confirmed Willingness to Rank Top 25 Teams Weekly
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Harris Interactive(R) announces that Bobby Leach has been added to the roster of 114 panelists who will complete weekly top 25 team rankings for the Harris Interactive College Football Poll(SM). Leach replaces Bob Pruett who has withdrawn from the panel due to his ESPN affiliation. Network policy states that those contracted with ESPN are prohibited from participating in the poll.
This 2005 Harris Interactive College Football Poll continues to be comprised of 114 panelists including former coaches, players, administrators and media. In some cases, participants bridge the camps of former players/coaches/administrators and media. This replacement, as with the original panel, was randomly drawn by Harris Interactive from among more than 300 nominations supplied by the conference offices and Notre Dame. This panel meets Harris Interactive criteria for sample design and is a statistically reliable representation of all 11 Division I-A conferences and independent institutions.

These participants' names will be posted to http://www.harrisinteractive.com/bcspoll. Each week, beginning on September 25th, the Harris Interactive College Football Poll rankings will be released and posted to the Harris Interactive website. Following the final rankings release of the season, the individual participant votes for the final ranking will also be released.
The Bowl Championship Series formula for the 2005 season will consist of the new Harris Interactive College Football Poll, the USA Today Coaches Poll, and an average of six computer rankings (Anderson & Hester, Richard Billingsley, Colley Matrix, Kenneth Massey, Jeff Sagarin and Peter Wolfe). The first BCS standings will be released on October 17th.
