Digeo(TM) Names Byron Springer, Jr. General Counsel
KIRKLAND, Wash., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Digeo, Inc. today announced former AT&T Wireless vice president and associate general counsel Byron Springer, Jr. has been named general counsel of Digeo, effective immediately. Springer will report directly to chief executive officer Mike Fidler and be responsible for the company's legal affairs, including corporate governance, intellectual property protection, and litigation management.

Springer was most recently vice president and associate general counsel at AT&T Wireless Services, Inc., where he served as primary legal counsel for the company's fast-growing wireless data business. While there, Springer developed and implemented programs supporting the business development, offer development and product management teams within the division, including content provider programs, technology contract negotiations, joint development and joint marketing agreements. He was also responsible for reporting and compliance.
Springer previously served as vice president and chief counsel of marketing for AT&T Wireless. In this role, he led the legal team supporting AT&T Wireless' national consumer and business sales and marketing efforts. His accomplishments include development and implementation of the industry's first national wireless services program for enterprise customers.
Prior to joining AT&T, Springer served as a shareholder and associate with Stokes, Eitelbach & Lawrence, PS. He received his JD from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law and earned a bachelor's degree with distinction from Stanford University.
