Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK Will Conduct A Hurricane Katrina Money & Food Drive Campout at Both Paul McCartney Shows

What: WMGK's Hurricane Katrina Money and Food Drive

Where: Broad Street Entrance (B lot) @ Wachovia Center

When: Thursday, September 22 - 6am until Friday, September 23 - 11pm

WMGK (102.9 FM/Philadelphia) afternoon personality Andre Gardner will camp out and broadcast live for 48 hours near the Broad Street entrance (B lot) of The Wachovia Center in an effort to collect money and non-perishable food items for Philabundance. Philabundance is a local hunger charity that is assisting in the efforts for Hurricane Katrina relief.

"Both Paul and his fans are very charitable, and these two amazing concerts give us a chance to all be together and help our friends in the Gulf Coast region at the same time. Philly's Macca fans always come through in times of need, and I expect that we'll collect lots of food for Louisiana and Mississippi residents," states Gardner.

The drive will be an ongoing event (from 6 am Thursday until the end of the Friday show), so the public is welcome to stop by anytime and drop off their donation. WMGK also welcomes the participation of any media personalities that would like to make a donation and visit the WMGK broadcast area at the Broad Street Entrance (B lot) of The Wachovia Center.
