Third Annual VH1 Save The Music Benefit Hosted by Jaci and Morris L. Reid Raises Over $100,000
Crest Whitestrips Presents: Music of Love, a White Hot Benefit for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation Raises Most Money in the Event's History
NEW YORK, Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Award-winning R&B songstress Toni Braxton closed out the Third Annual VH1 Save The Music celebrity fundraiser hosted by VH1 Save The Music Foundation board member Morris L. Reid, and his wife, Jaci with a show-stopping 20-minute performance of her greatest hits and select songs from her highly-anticipated new album, Libra.
The high profile summer party, Crest Whitestrips Presents: Music of Love, A White Hot Benefit For The VH1 Save The Music Foundation, was held at the Reid's East Hampton Estate on July 29th. Celebrities and entertainers in attendance included Russell Simmons, Alec Baldwin, Gayle King, Donna Karan, Star Jones Reynolds, Victoria Gotti, T-Boz, Ines Rivero, Alexandra Richards, Douglas Hannant, B. Smith, Tom Calderone and John Sykes.
"My wife and I host this benefit every year because we believe that we are investing in our children's education and helping to ensure a brighter future for our youth," said Reid, managing director of Westin Rinehart, a New York and Washington D.C.-based strategic communications and marketing firm. "Each year we aim to raise the caliber and success of this event and this year we did by more than doubling the amount raised in years past."
"This year's VH1 Save The Music Hamptons benefit was a huge success thanks to the generosity of Morris and Jaci Reid," said Paul Cothran, Executive Director, VH1 Save The Music Foundation. "Their continued support ensures that even more public school students will be able to experience music first hand."
The live auction of several items including a Pamela Hanson print, a Vespa motorized scooter, MAC gift boxes, spa packages and a day on the set of The Big Idea With Donny Deutsch raised an additional $15,000 for the Foundation.
For smiles that sizzle, this year's title sponsor was Crest Whitestrips; other sponsors included Westin Rinehart, Grey Goose, Hamptons Magazine, Blue Star Jets, London Jewelers, MAC, Blue & Cream, Daily Blossom, Cain at Cabana, and Iceberg Water.
