The Pussycat Dolls Put Finishing Touches on Debut Album PCD
As Summer Heats Up 'Don't Cha' Hits #1
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- "Don't Cha" want to know what the Pussycat Dolls are up to?
With the ascent of their massive hit "Don't Cha" to the #1 spot on Billboard's Pop 100 chart, The Pussycat Dolls are putting the final touches on their debut album. After 15 weeks on the chart, the girl-power anthem of the summer knocks Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" from the pole position.
The Pussycat Dolls album PCD will be released on A&M Records on September 13, and features tracks produced by and featuring will.i.am from The Black Eyed Peas and Timbaland, as well as tracks by Rich Harrison, Polow and Ron Fair.
Pussycat Doll lead singer Nicole Scherzinger says, "When I think about eighteen months ago when this all began and how far we've come, I can't wait to see where we are eighteen months from now. It's also such an honor to have the baton of a #1 song passed to us by an icon like Mariah Carey."
The Pussycat Dolls will be performing their #1 hit on the Teen Choice Awards, airing August 16 on FOX.
