Maroon 5 to Release Live DVD/CD on September 20th

Collection Features Brand New Tracks, Behind The Scenes Footage

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- It was announced today that Octone/J Records will release a live DVD/CD from Maroon 5 on September 20th. Entitled Live At The Santa Barbara Bowl, the concert was filmed earlier this summer by acclaimed director Russell Thomas (Coldplay, Bjork) and contains 14 tracks in total, including the never before released "Wasted Years." Filmed at one of the best outdoor venues in the United States, other highlights on the DVD/CD include a cover version of the Oasis track "Hello," behind the scenes footage of the band, 5.1 audio and more. Live At The Santa Barbara Bowl also includes live versions of the band's two Number One singles, "This Love" and "She Will Be Loved," from their breakthrough album Songs About Jane, which to date has sold 10 Million copies around the world. Last summer the band released an acoustic EP for fans which has been certified Gold by the RIAA.

Over the course of the past three years, the band has performed hundreds and hundreds of gigs worldwide, most recently with R&B icon Stevie Wonder. In addition to performing with one of his idols, Levine has found time to pursue another musical passion -- hip-hop. The singer has collaborated with two of the genres biggest stars, adding his trademark vocals to "Live Again" by the Ying Yang Twins and "Heard 'Em Say" by the Grammy Award winning MC, Kanye West. Levine also teamed up with R&B superstar Alicia Keys on the classic Stones' track "Wild Horses," which will be featured exclusively on her forthcoming live collection.

Maroon 5 credit hip-hop and R&B music with providing the inspiration behind the band's sound. That sound earned them a Grammy Award last year for Best New Artist.

After a few performances scheduled to open for the Rolling Stones later on this summer, Maroon 5 will begin work on their second Octone/J Records studio album.
