WYD MediaManagement To Produce Limited Edition Signed Commemorative Prints
NEW YORK, July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Major classic rock music personalities will appear in a series of signed, limited edition commemorative album cover prints produced to raise funds for cancer research, it was announced today by the T.J. Martell Foundation and WYD MediaManagement, LLC.
The effort expands WYD's participation with the Martell Foundation and its continuing interaction with the music and media industries to raise funds dedicated to finding cancer cures.
Featuring the participation of a series of major performers and their historic album covers, the prints will be autographed by the musicians and are being custom produced with archival paper, special inks and unique framing, according to WYD president Ron Hartenbaum and Peter Quinn, CEO of the Martell Foundation.
"Most of us have been touched by the battle against cancer and we still urgently need to raise funds for research," Mr. Hartenbaum said.
"The Martell Foundation is excited to facilitate this linkage of legendary musicians and collectable art to raise funds for cancer research," Mr. Quinn said. "Through this unique collaboration, the energies and power of some very special artists will provide important help."
The first in the series of commemorative prints is expected to be announced in August.
The Martell Foundation is dedicated to raising funds for innovative research into the treatment of leukemia, cancer and AIDS. The Foundation hosts a variety of fundraising events throughout the year including galas, auctions, wine dinners, walk-a-thons and golf tournaments. In the past 30 years, the Martell Foundation raised more than 200 million dollars through support from the music industry and individuals and companies across the country.
Mr. Hartenbaum's WYD Media Management creates and produces national radio programs. In an effort to cure one-sided radio, WYD launched the STEPHANIE MILLER SHOW in association with Democracy Radio. The program, distributed by the Jones Radio Networks, is heard on progressive talk radio stations across the nation.
