Starring series creator Magnus Scheving as superhero Sportacus and Julianna Rose Mauriello as his pink-haired friend Stephanie, the local events are filled with energy, music and gravity-defying stunts that will motivate kids to get up and get active. After the two-day kickoff at the Nick Hotel in Orlando, LazyTown Live! will visit the following other markets:
Chicago Santa Clara, CA Location TBD Paramount's Great America Tuesday, August 9 Saturday, August 13 & Sunday, August 14
New York City Chelsea Piers Thursday, August 11
LazyTown Live! is jam-packed with audience participation and physical comedy. Kids can look forward to Sportacus and Stephanie leading them in fun physical activities and games. The stage show's soundtrack features techno- pop hits straight from LazyTown, including "No One's Lazy in LazyTown" and "Bing Bang." Each thirty-minute performance will be followed by a meet-and- greet with the LazyTown cast, including Sportacus, Stephanie and Ziggy, a lovable, optimistic puppet.
The live events lead up to the premiere of the show's first-ever, one-hour primetime special "LazyTown's New Superhero" on Monday, August 15, at 8 p.m. (all times ET/PT). The energy-packed special features Sportacus teaching his superhero ways to Stephanie. From back-flips and push-ups to saving the day, Sportacus' training helps Stephanie transform herself into "SportaStephanie," a heroine with her very own pink superhero suit.
LazyTown was created in Iceland by professional athlete and aerobic champion Magnus Scheving and is set in a strange and wonderful village where eight-year-old Stephanie and her friends are caught between charismatic, health-conscious superhero Sportacus and lazy bad guy Robbie Rotten, who spends his time lounging around and eating junk food. A mix of live-action, puppets and CGI animation, LazyTown is dedicated to making physical activity and healthy lifestyles for kids entertaining. LazyTown airs regularly weekdays on Nick Jr. at 11:30 a.m.
Nick Jr. is a specially designed programming block airing on Nickelodeon weekdays from 9 a.m. -- 2 p.m. (ET/PT) and weekends on CBS (check local listings).
