Dana Hayes Named Tribune Media Net Senior Vice President/Sales & Marketing

CHICAGO, June 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tribune Publishing (NYSE:TRB) today announced that Ken DePaola has been named president of Tribune Media Net, the company's national sales organization. DePaola will oversee national advertising for Tribune's 11 newspapers and niche publications, and lead cross-media sales efforts. He will continue to serve as senior vice president/advertising for Chicago Tribune Company, a position he was appointed to in March 2004.

DePaola joined Chicago Tribune in October 2001 as vice president/advertising marketing and sales. Before that, DePaola served as associate publisher of the Chicago Sun-Times, was president and publisher of Midwest Suburban Publishing, and held various sales and marketing positions with the Sun-Times.

Also at Tribune Media Net, Dana Hayes has been named senior vice president/sales and marketing, and will continue to direct national advertiser sales across TMN's eight sales offices and oversee marketing efforts. Hayes was appointed vice president/sales in October 2001. Prior to that, he was vice president/sales and e-commerce for Tribune Interactive. Before joining Tribune, he held a variety of sales management positions for Turner Networks, TBS and TNT, and at Landmark Networks' The Weather Channel and The Travel Channel. He began his career as a media buyer and planner at Leo Burnett Company.
