THE EVENT:

On August 17, the Rolling Roadshow is setting out on a 6000 mile, 21 day journey, across the west for a series of film screenings that will take the movie-going experience to a whole new level. We will be screening 11 famous films in their original shooting locations, chosen specifically to intensify the viewing experience.

ABOUT ALAMO DRAFTHOUSE AND THE ROLLING ROADSHOW:

Opened by husband-and-wife team Tim and Karrie League in 1997 as a small, single-screen cult movie venue, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has since expanded to include three multi-screen theatres in Austin, and their famous 'Rolling Roadshow' -- a mobile outdoor projection unit complete with a full 35mm changeover projection system, stereo sound and a 40-foot inflatable screen. The Rolling Roadshow is just one facet of the many film events -- some silly, some gastronomically intense, and all innovative -- the Alamo Drafthouse offers to Austin movie aficionados.
