Exciting New Selections Complement Traditional Favorites

DALLAS, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Bennigan's Grill & Tavern has completely redesigned their menu with the introduction of over 20 delicious new menu items, and is sharpening their focus to welcome families into their restaurants.

To generate awareness about the new menu selection, Bennigan's Grill & Tavern is launching new radio spots in selected markets nationally to support both the new menu and new brand positioning efforts.

Known for such classics as the Monte Cristo and the Kilkenny's Country Chicken Salad, Bennigan's is embracing consumers' desire to have more variety and healthy menu selections.

The new Mix & Match Entrees give guests the opportunity to choose two of their own grilled combos plus a side item for one great price. Selections include Fire-Grilled Top Sirloin, Cajun Shrimp Skewer, Southwest Grilled Chicken Breast, Cajun Salmon and Tempura Shrimp.

One of the most inspired new offerings is the Crispy Almond Chicken, half of a roasted chicken, lightly fried and topped with almonds, a blend of Asian herbs and honey soy ginger sauce.

"We are excited to be evolving our menu to better reflect our guest's changing tastes when dining out. They have told us they want more options, not only in the burgers, sandwiches and salads categories that we have traditionally been known for, but also with appetizers, entrees and desserts," said Robert Turtledove, SVP Marketing, Metromedia Restaurant Group.

New appetizers include Sesame Chicken Tenders and Fried Calamari hand- breaded, delicately fried, and served with tomato-basil marinara and tangy tomato-caper sauces.

In order to appeal to consumers' expanding taste profiles are other new entrees including Mediterranean Grilled Chicken, tender chicken breasts marinated in rosemary and garlic and served with garlic mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables and a rosemary-infused demi sauce. The Roasted Vegetable Primavera, prepared with oven-roasted onions, red bell peppers and mushrooms tossed with Fettuccini in a lemon-butter sauce is also new.

Of course, no meal is complete without dessert, and Bennigan's has added Sticky Toffee Pudding to its range of offerings. It's a scrumptious concoction of warm cake topped with a rich toffee caramel sauce and cold vanilla ice cream.

For the guest who prefers the traditional favorites the new menu includes several new tributes to the casual comfort food guests have come to expect from Bennigan's. Items like the new Bleu Cheese Burger, Monte Cristo Panini or Kilkenny's Country Chicken Wrap are sure to please.

As more families are dining out today, Bennigan's is providing focus on serving young guests. A revised Kid's Menu includes a wider variety of selections such as Grilled Chicken Tenders, fresh broccoli, green beans and milk. As an invitation to families, Bennigan's is inviting kids to eat free on Tuesday evenings.
