Alliance Atlantis announces changed management structure

Michael MacMillan appointed Executive Chairman, Phyllis Yaffe appointed Chief Executive Officer

TORONTO, June 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Michael MacMillan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc., today announced changes to the company's operating management structure designed to further align it with the company's focus on maintaining exceptional performance and continuing our strategic growth within the broadcast industry.

Effective immediately, Mr. MacMillan will become Executive Chairman of Alliance Atlantis, while Phyllis Yaffe, currently the Chief Operating Officer, will become Chief Executive Officer. As Executive Chairman, Mr. MacMillan will continue to focus his efforts on overseeing the long-term growth and direction of the company. Ms. Yaffe will assume responsibility for leading the Company in achieving its financial and operating goals.
