SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- WHAT: Paramount's Great America kicks off Memorial Day weekend with a salute to the nation's military, fire, police and other emergency services with a Salute to Heroes! Members of the military, police, fire and other emergency services receive free admission, plus 50% off admission for up to six (6) family members by presenting a valid ID at Will Call or Guest Sevices (Saturday, May 28 - Sunday, June 5)! There's plenty of fun for the whole family with a variety of special events including spectacular fireworks and the park's new live show, School of Rock -- Live in Concert. EVENTS: Memorial Weekend Fireworks -- Sunday, May 29 (9 p.m. ) A world class Fireworks Extravaganza, choreographed to patriotic and popular music, lights up the night sky high above Paramount's Great America. Park open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fireworks Extravaganza begins at 9 p.m.

School of Rock -- Live in Concert -- Saturday, May 28 - Sunday, October 2 Paramount Pictures' blockbuster feature comedy comes to life in a wildly energetic, high-voltage, live rock concert featuring raw acoustics and first-rate rock concert theatrics; all supported by a full band and a play list of unforgettable rock 'n' roll classics by artists such as Led Zeppelin, Joan Jett and Van Halen. This 25-minute pulse-pounding show is free with park admission and begins rocking park guests May 28.
