Winning the newscast time period by 2.5 rating points, NBC 5 News continues a winning steak that began in February of 2002. May Highlights:

* NBC 5 News at 10:00 remains #1 - most watched newscast in North Texas for the eleventh straight major ratings period, one of two station to show growth from May '04

* NBC 5 News at 10:00 finished 30% ahead of the nearest competitor, second place WFAA.

* NBC 5 News at 10:00 demonstrated consistent strength by winning 70 % of the late newscasts during the recent sweep, building audience share from prime time.

* EXTRA continues to grow, easily outpacing news magazine and sitcom competition in the critical access time period. EXTRA grew its audience 12% over last year. NBC5 delivered the highest ratings that EXTRA achieved in the top 30 markets.
